UFC adds Lineker vs. Garbrandt to Pittsburgh event

Today the UFC announced two more fights for the upcoming event at the Consol Energy Center that was announced earlier this month.

Up and coming bantamweight Cody Garbrandt (7-0) takes on former flyweight John Lineker (26-7) in a fight that could lead to getting closer to the top ten of that division for the winner. Garbrandt has two wins in the UFC with a TKO in his debut over Marcus Brimage and a decision win over Enrique Briones this past July.

Lineker won his bantamweight debut via first-round submission this past September against Francisco Rivera, and is 7-2 overall in the UFC thus far.

The event will also feature a women’s bantamweight bout between former TUF contestant Sarah Moras (4-2) and former Invicta champion Lauren Murphy (8-2). This will be the third UFC fight for the Canadian “Cheesecake” Moras, who won her UFC debut against Alexis Dufresne and lost her second bout against Jessica Andrade by decision. Alaska native Murphy is currently 0-2 in the UFC, with decision losses to Liz Carmouche and Sara McMann.

This event is scheduled for February 21st and is expected to be broadcast on FS1.
